sa·lon noun : a fashionable yet casual gathering of fellow artists or musicians to share ideas, works-in-progress, refreshment, and good cheer.
BMS students ages 13 to 18 are invited to share works-in-progress with peers...minus the formality of a recital. Please note that this is a performers-only workshop, not open to parents or additional spectators.
Friendly and supportive discussion is encouraged, with no set program order, and participants are encouraged to try their music more than once, time permitting.
2021 Salons will be held remotely over Zoom, with performers welcome to share either live or prerecorded performances. An accompanist is provided with at least one week's notice upon sign-up.
