Board of Directors

A dedicated and active volunteer Board of Directors governs the school. The Board represents some of the most innovative, creative, and seasoned professionals from a variety of fields, all actively contributing to the school’s ongoing well being for future generations. The Board oversees the financial sustainability of the school, leading in fundraising efforts, selecting and evaluating the Executive Director, and regularly reviewing and developing the school’s mission and educational commitments.

Volunteer for the BMS Board

Do you love music? Would you like to be a part of a vibrant and interesting group of people, give back to your community and support music education? Brookline Music School seeks candidates to join our Board of Directors! This is an opportunity to combine your expertise and your love of music and help guide our vision and the overall success of the Brookline Music School.

We are looking for individuals who can bring their experience in finance, fundraising, non-profit management, music/arts education, early childhood education, law and policy, human resources, marketing, technology, community outreach, and diversity and inclusion. Volunteers from within or outside Brookline are encouraged to apply. Brookline Music School is a nonprofit organization that has provided excellence in music education to the Greater Boston community since 1924. We rely on the generous support of our donors to benefit the community through music.

Brookline Music School welcomes students of all ages. Enrollment is open year-round so students may begin private lesson study at any time. Join us!

Regular Hours

Monday to Friday: 9 am to 9 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8 am to 7 pm

Summer Hours

Effective July 1st, 2024

Sunday: CLOSED

Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 8 pm

Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
