Salons

sa·lon noun : a fashionable yet casual gathering of fellow artists or musicians to share ideas, works-in-progress, refreshment, and good cheer.

The BMS Salons offer students an alternative to traditional recitals. Currently enrolled teen and adult students are invited to gather in a small and supportive group setting, and to casually share and discuss current musical projects with fellow musicians. Performers of all levels, beginner to advanced, convene to try out works-in-progress, excerpts, or original compositions, and to discuss the experience and process of studying and performing music. Second takes are welcome and encouraged as time allows, and the Salon may serve as either a rehearsal for a more formal upcoming recital, or as a performance goal in and of itself.
