Adult chamber music groups rehearse repertoire of the classical tradition from the early baroque to contemporary periods. Rehearsals emphasize listening skills, musical communication, stylistic interpretation, and balance of texture.
New Expanded Chamber Music Program!
Our newly expanded chamber music program includes small-group coaching with BMS chamber music faculty members PLUS a new opportunity to opt into Adult Chamber Music + Sundays, a bi-weekly meeting of large-group chamber classes and workshops including group performance or instrumental workshops, chamber music parties, and musicianship topics. In addition, there will be special event masterclasses and recitals by BMS chamber musicians and guests on one to two Sundays each semester. See the Chamber Music + Sundays Schedule.
Please note: Groups are open to instrumentalists 18 years or older and all levels, generally after completing a minimum of 2 years of private instrument study and having attained basic music literacy. Spring 2023 Adult Chamber Music Ensembles will receive either 16 weeks or 8 weeks of coaching, depending on which option you select when registering below.
