Teaching Biography

I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for my students to explore their creativity, and feel excited to learn new things. My goal is to meet each of my students where they are based on their unique personality and learning style. Technique and posture, essentials for long-term success, are an important focus of my lessons. After sustaining an injury from slipping on ice in 2019, perfecting technique became my obsession, and is what sustains my ability to play the violin. I encourage my students to always begin practice by dedicating a of couple minutes to scales, etudes, and/or other exercises before focusing on the “fun” stuff.
