Teaching Philosophy

As a piano teacher, I cultivate critical thinking, create an enjoyable lesson setting, and recognize students’ specific learning styles. I am committed to helping students discover their path and developing their performing style within a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

I have taught many students with varying backgrounds and skill levels, from beginners to advanced professional pianists. From my years of experience, I understand how important it is to assign students a repertoire that speaks to their taste, ranging from jazz to the classics. I believe the teacher’s responsible for inspiring students with what they love to help them discover their voices as musicians.
