In just two sessions, students will work together to record an entire orchestra arrangement of Morning Mood, from Grieg's musical realization of Peer Gynt. Students will immerse themselves in this wonderful music with group discussion, sectionals, private lessons, score study-- and ultimately through collaborative video recording.
The video and music from this workshop will later be combined with live student dancers and the work of young visual artists. Art students will create virtual backgrounds for the dancers to convey Peer's adventures during the Morning Mood movement. Ultimately, side by side video of the dancers and the workshop musicians will combine over zoom to form an online virtual ballet.
NOTE: iOS device necessary for participation.
