COVID-19 UPDATE

February 10, 2022

Dear BMS Community,

I want to share our latest update to ensure safe music education during the pandemic -- our full COVID-19 Information is online for your reference -- and is revised on an ongoing basis as necessary.

BMS is open for in-person lessons, ensembles, and classes. For everyone’s health and safety, students, faculty, and staff will be required to wear N95, KN95 or KF94 masks while at Kennard House or other BMS teaching spaces in the Public Schools of Brookline. Please make sure to come to your lesson with an appropriate face covering.

For winds, brass, and voice students taking in-person lessons or participating in an ensemble, students should change to a specially-designed mask once in the studio.

Any teacher planning to continue to teach remotely will be in touch to confirm this teaching arrangement.

Most importantly, we want everyone to “Be Healthy at BMS.” Please review the updated BMS COVID policy and if a BMS student feels ill, has symptoms of COVID, or has stayed home from school or work, please stay home from music lessons, too.

Please call our main office at 617-277-4595 or email us at info@bmsmusic.org with any questions.

All the best,

Betsy Frauenthal, Executive Director
