Summer Piano Institute

Age 13-18

The Summer Piano Institute at Brookline Music School is a five-day festival (June 26-30, 2023) for advanced piano students, ages 13-18, with a holistic approach to the piano. The importance of collaboration and community, as well as historical knowledge of piano literature, is emphasized.

The piano festival begins with a faculty recital on Monday evening, a wonderful opportunity to connect us all: faculty, students, and families. The rest of the week is spent engaging in daily history, chamber music (4-hands), masterclasses, and lessons. Highlights of the final day include a chamber music performance with faculty and students; and a student performance that is open to the public.

Piano chamber music will be pre-assigned and students are expected to come prepared knowing their individual parts.

Apply to the Summer Piano Institute before application deadline of March 1st:

  1. Pay a $40 application fee.
  2. Complete the Summer Piano Institute Application Form (including video submission details)

Notification of your application status will be sent Monday, April 3, 2023 along with instructions for accepted students to complete their enrollment. The tuition fee for The Summer Piano Institute is $975.
