Focusing on the rich tradition of classical chamber music, students will study a variety of repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary. Students will be assigned to level-appropriate groups to rehearse and perform at the week's end. Students new to chamber music at BMS will be required to take a brief audition to help determine group placement.
Chamber Music Workshop will be In Person
The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. We are thrilled to be planning for in-person instruction this summer and are developing a set of protocols to ensure that we can do so safely. Our Board of Directors' re-opening task force is finalizing the BMS building reopening plan, which will outline in detail the measures necessary to keep our students, families, faculty, and staff safe, while also allowing us to make music in person together again.
These precautions include, but are not limited, to wearing masks while at Brookline Music School. In addition, all shared instruments (for example, pianos) will be sanitized before and after student use.
Our website will be updated as our plans for a return to in-person instruction are finalized; please check back soon for more information.
