BMS is pleased to welcome Lynn Chang, international award-winning violinist and professor at Boston Conservatory, on March 19, 2019 at 7:00pm for a masterclass with selected violin students from the BMS String Department. All are invited to attend and observe as Mr. Chang shares his expertise with class participants.
About Lynn Chang A top-prize winner in the international Paganini Competition, Lynn Chang enjoys an active international career as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator. For 25 years, he performed as a member of the Boston Chamber Music Society, and he has appeared at the Marlboro and Tanglewood music festivals and as a soloist with orchestras worldwide. He has performed with members of the Juilliard, Tokyo, Cleveland, Vermeer, and Orion string quartets, and frequently collaborates with Yo-Yo Ma. Chang received a degree in music from Harvard University and studied the violin with Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School. He is on the violin faculty at New England Conservatory and Boston Conservatory.
