Brookline’s fourth annual Porchfest will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rain date of Saturday, June 15, 2019.
New this year, the family-friendly Porchfest kicks off with a community gathering including music and food, on the lawn of The Public Library of Brookline - Brookline Village (361 Washington St, Brookline, MA 02445) from 12:00-1:00pm. The kick-off celebration is a great way to begin a day filled with music and friendship.
After the kick-off, spend the afternoon listening to music on porches town-wide. Over 120 bands will be performing between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Porchfest brochures listing bands and locations will be available at the kick-off and at all Porchfest porches. For those who want to get a head start on scouting out their Porchfest plan, brochures can be found around town (at Town Hall, Brookline Village Library, Brookline Music School, and other businesses) beginning on May 28.
This year’s Brookline Porchfest features dozens of local performers celebrating music & community throughout the town. Music genres include blues bands, rock bands, jazz groups, vocal choirs, an 8-piece klezmer band, a flamenco dancer, a 60 piece choir, singer/songwriters, heavy rock musicians, and an ukulele sing-a-long.
