Maribeth’s interest in music began at home: family musicians include oboist mom, saxophonist dad and pianist sister. A favorite memory still is all the excitement generated by the delivery of a new Yamaha piano, and how fun it was to sit at that keyboard. How it sounded and felt, legs dangling from the piano bench. Weekly music lessons and many piano duets followed, along with a growing awareness of how music brings people together.
A recent happy return to piano as an adult brings a renewed appreciation for music. In helping people discover BMS, Maribeth brings the dual perspectives of early learner and adult returner.
A graduate of Wellesley College, Maribeth has worked in publishing, academia, design and music, in a range of arts administration, digital and senior marketing roles. Her focus at the School is to strengthen our learning community by championing the people, performances, events, and programs that collectively distinguish Brookline Music School.
When not focused on marketing strategy, you’ll find Maribeth at BMS concerts, with a smile on her face, genuinely enjoying all types of music, musicians and instruments.
