Instructors recommend the starting age for guitar to be 7 (sometimes 6) due to the size of the instrument and the finger dexterity required. For students younger than this, we recommend our Introduction to Ukulele Class. Piano is always an excellent foundation instrument, providing your child with basic musical knowledge that can later be applied to guitar lessons when the student is older.
All students will need an instrument for home practice between lessons.
