In Musical Adventures, students actively participate in activities that provide a strong musical foundation, including singing, chanting, stylized movement, dance, improvisation, and playing percussive instruments. In addition to engaging the class with a rich repertoire of music, movement, and dance, experienced teachers musically interact with individual students as they guide each of them through the music learning stages.
Over the year, students will learn about the instruments of the orchestra, dive into Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals, and travel around the world with multicultural music. These classes are designed for active participation of both adult and child. Please come ready to sing, move, and have fun!
Students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2017 to register for this class.

All early childhood classes are based on Music Learning Theory and research on how children learn music. Students are guided through the stages of music learning (acculturation, imitation and assimilation) to provide understanding for a lifelong enjoyment of music and to prepare for formal instruction.
