All of our Early Childhood music teachers received their certificates for the Music Moves for Piano Professional Development Course on Friday, August 12. The intensive course was hosted at Brookline Music School over the course of two weeks and was taught by the author of Music Moves for Piano, Marilyn Lowe, and Jennifer Fisher, a music instructor at Eastern Michigan State University.
BMS is proud to offer Music Moves for Piano as part of our curriculum.
The Music Moves for Piano Professional Development Course is designed by the Gordon Institute for Music Learning (GIML), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the research in music education pioneered by Edwin E. Gordon. The purpose of GIML is to advance music understanding through audiation. GIML believes in the music potential of each individual, and supports an interactive learning community with opportunities for musical and professional development.
