Early Childhood Music Coordinator
Krista recently moved to the Boston area after teaching music to students with autism for six years at the Developmental Learning Centers in New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Music Education and a Masters of Music Education in Early Childhood and General Music. Prior to teaching in New Jersey, Krista was the Early Childhood Music Coordinator for the University of Delaware’s Community Music School, teaching infant, toddler, preschool and piano music classes, training teachers and creating a developmentally appropriate and research-based program. Over the past ten years, Krista has presented workshops and her research for teachers along the east coast and internationally, contributed articles to numerous music association newsletters and has written a chapter for the book Learning from Young Children: Research in Early Childhood Music.
