Betsy Frauenthal has spent the majority of her professional career in non-profit management. She has held leadership roles in strategic planning, marketing and operations. Her musical education started with piano lessons in Cleveland, Ohio. She then studied harp through graduate school and has performed in pit orchestras as well as in a local symphony orchestra in Florida. Betsy has a MBA from Boston University and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. Immediately after college she worked on the Space Shuttle.
Betsy has lived in Brookline with her family for 16 years and has been involved with BMS for most of that time as a Board Member, Finance Committee Member and its Treasurer as well as a parent of BMS students, and a student herself. She has volunteered with other Brookline organizations including a three-year term as Co-president of the Runkle PTO.
